Here is a link to a great expo Pitchfork posted with the theme of the "new vocabulary" of ghost-like vocals processed through vocorder and phaser like effects as is particularly popular in a lot of Dubstep and electronica-inspired music for the last couple years. There are some wicked tracks posted there for you listening pleasure(for example this totally sick cut by Kindom). Already had some of it. I went hunting for the rest online but came up a little short handed. I was able to find Mount Kimbie, Pictureplane, and James Blake.
