Vids - Philosphy of Copyright Law and "Intellectual Property"

This first video didn't blow my mind but its the first in a three part series of docs exploring copyright law, plagiarism, and remix culture. Depending on where he takes it, it could be very interesting. Follow the docs' blog HERE.

This one is a great doc exploring the same themes as the last one, but to completion. I must say that I like this new style of video that's becoming more popular as the internet matures; webcam interviews with like minded people who are in communication with each other over the net in a digital community, dialoging with each other and voluntarily contributing to the conversation, and mashing it up into a rapid pace dose of dialectic about contemporary issues. Very urgent and ecstatic feeling.

Walking on Eggshells: Borrowing Culture in the Remix Age from Brendan Schlagel on Vimeo.

This is a OK but totally pertinent RSAnimate about how intellectual innovation results from people being in communication each other, and the dynamic that the internet brings to this.

Lastly, this is a vid claiming that "All creative work builds on what came before", but I feel like that's kind of an afterthought. Mostly its a super fun music video.
